My name is Heather Dominick, and I’ve spent a lot of time and energy in the past desperately trying to understand “what to do to be successful.” I worked as a high school drama teacher for 8 years, loved my students and excelled at my work, but constantly felt like I wasn’t able to be fully grounded in my life. What I looked like was this: over-exhausted, overwhelmed, and overweight. I was great at pulling it all together, putting on a good performance, and getting the job done, but I was too disconnected from my own experience to feel any of it. Instead, I just felt kind of fuzzy.

From there I took some risks and big steps. I went back to school, left my teaching job, and started my own business offering nutrition and energy coaching (the main tool that had saved me). As my business grew and thrived, other practitioners would ask me advice about how I was able to successfully be in business full-time without sacrificing the rest of my life. I eagerly shared; actually, two of those first practitioners immediately asked me to coach them on building their business! It's imperative for those of us who give so much in our business to engage powerful processes at the inner level (your energy, your spirit, your life-force) and simultaneously layout a very solid action plan (your networking, your marketing, your business goals). So you’re constantly working with the actions, not against the actions. So you're flowing downstream and not feeling like you’re fighting your way upstream all the time. Because when you don’t make the shifts in perception you feel like you're paddling upstream. You can still make progress this way, but it feels like a lot of work and your arms get very tired.
