Before beginning EnergyRICH® Coaching I never knew what a truly transformative endeavor starting your own business actually is. When you choose to no longer work for someone else, you make a very strong statement about who you are and how you want to live your life. This can be very nerve-wracking.

I spent 8-9 years working in the film/tv business as a costume designer/wardrobe supervisor and was very good at my job but was always just a “cog in the wheel”. Even when you were right, you were wrong if what you were doing or saying did not serve the shot. You were let know that you were 100% expendable and replaceable but that you had better do your best because you would be replaced if you didn’t. It is hardly an atmosphere that encourages stability and high self worth.

Now as a source of high-quality, eco-friendly fabrics for designers I would say the biggest shift I have experienced since beginning EnergyRICH® Coaching is realizing my true worth and what is so special about what I have to offer and setting up system to receive that worth in the form of respect from clients and increased income. As I keep moving forward, each day provides another opportunity to prove that, mainly to myself.

It is a very powerful feeling to be in a business meeting, in a situation of my own creation, in service to my business, and have people really want to hear what I have to say and then want to do business with me. I first met Heather during her last year as a High School Drama teacher. I didn’t know much about her except that she was highly respected by her peers, greatly adored, revered by her students, and leaving to start her own practice as a Nutritionist. Oh my goodness! You are the queen of all coaches. Wow. I just made myself sit here and address my “dire need” first thing, before checking my email, before doing anything else. I did my invoicing. I can't tell you how good it feels! I feel so good. I thought of you when my inner ego and spirit were doing some serious hand-to-hand combat in my head. It was great not to give up. I feel like I can breathe now! Money is coming in!

On another great note, I'm using my programs (yay!). Someone called me for a gift certificate and instead of simply charging by the hour, I offered the Initial Package for the value rate we discussed. Then I got a call from another new client and I have an initial consultation scheduled for this week, and mentioned the other packages as well. I was so scared, but I did it! I used everything we talked about yesterday and it felt so good!

I am now clear that what I offer is a multi-phase makeover of the way you live and work. Results are lasting and they take time to develop and it is worth it. My programs are specific and finite. You can get as much as you want out of it and you can pick the package that suits you. I work with people who are interested in making a real transformation with their space and the way they live.

Also, today I met with a client and we completed our work together and I said, "Do you have any friends or colleagues who might benefit from the type of work we've done together? I'm a referral based business and he said yes before I even finished my sentence! He called his co-worker in right away and I went to his office and set up our initial phone meeting, and by the time I got back to my client's office he had called his friend, who said it would be fine for me to call him!

I'm writing you this letter to thank you. You've changed my life in ways you will never know. Theater was all I had in high school. Even if you didn't know it…you were all I had. If it weren't for your everlasting encouragement and faith in me, I wouldn't be where I am, and more importantly, who I am today. My only regret is not opening up myself more to you. Prior to you working at Irving, I was depressed and suicidal. I had no goals, no ambition, I was dead inside. I was filled with anger and hurt… all my life I've been neglected, molested, raped and abused. I closed myself off to the world and to you. However, as time went on, I became accustomed to you. You gave me a sense of purpose, you made me see the value of my life, you made me feel alive again. I'm not kidding you when I say you saved my life. I was no longer dead inside.

In May, 2008, I will be graduating from Pace University with a BA in Theater Arts and a BA in Communication Studies. I have dedicated this summer to researching Graduate Programs. I have high hopes to obtain acceptance into the following institutions: Columbia University, New York University and Fordom University. In the case that the whole acting/stage managing thing doesn't work out. I plan to pursue a career in journalism, more specifically, broadcast journalism. Although, I have many goals, I have to admit I am overwhelmed with anxiety. Quite frankly, I'm terrified. I often ask myself if I will be ready for any curve ball life throws at me. Or whether or not I will be successful in my chosen career? However, anytime I feel too besieged, I think of you and the hardships you've overcome, which gives me the strength to move forward.

You are an extraordinary individual with a dynamic soul. I can only hope and pray that one day I can become half the woman you are. You were and continue to be an inspiration. To me you are more than a teacher of Drama and English. You are more than a successful business woman. You, Heather Dominick, are an educator, an educator of life. You made me see the value of my existence. Anything I have achieved and will achieve in the future is all attributed to you. I give to you my profound eternal gratitude.
